AssoLei is a non profit association born to protect working women´s rights and stand against discrimination and sexual harassment in the work place.
Legally registered as a non-profit Cultural Association on May the 14th, 1993, AssoLei has been active -informally- since 1989, currently operating on the contribution of about 20 volunteering members.
AssoLei undertakes research activities, promotes training courses and provides information. Supplies consultancy to women and working women either on legal and labour disputes, also due to mobbing, discrimination or sexual harassment on the work place.
AssoLei has developed, since1999, an on-line training course including topics such as women´s history, Italian and EU legislation, labour market, women´s studies, immigration.
AssoLei is part of a women´s network operating within legal and information fields, feminist associations, trade unions forum, national and international Equal Opportunities committees, Universities, public schools and public administration. Lawyers, journalists, university professors, research worker, Ministry of Labour experts, are only some of the profession and abilities represented within the group.
In the year 1995 AssoLei joins the AFFI Association, (Federal Feminist International Association) operating in Rome from the International Women´s House.

Since January 10, 2006, AssoLei foresees a service dedicated to immigration matters: once a week, on Tuesdays (h14 to h19) our expert is in to provide immigrant women with information on rights and guarantees provided by law, and guide through the steps to be taken in order to obtain the benefits granted by law.
